What is Qualys GAV
Global AssetView (GAV) is a cloud service that allows you to continuously discover, classify, and improve visibility into your organization's IT assets. Using a combination of Qualys sensors, Cloud Agents, Scanners, and Passive Network Sensors, GAV collects and analyzes data about assets across hybrid environments.
GAV delivers up-to-date, comprehensive, and continuous information about your assets and their security and compliance posture. It aggregates and correlates asset data from every source into a single deduplicated profile, enriches it with business context such as owner and criticality, and lets you generate reports so you can report on and respond to risk quickly.
GAV vs CSAM: Global AssetView (GAV) is the free version of CyberSecurity Asset Management (CSAM). It provides core asset discovery and inventory capabilities. CSAM builds on GAV with advanced features such as External Attack Surface Management, Business App Inventory, Domains and Organization/Subsidiary Inventory, Open Ports, Reporting, and Alerting.
